Dr. Mark A. Brown, USMC, Retired
My Story
Dr. Mark A. Brown is a business management and administrative research specialist. His research focuses on culture and climate concerns associated with the workplace. He has 26 years of active military service in the United States Marine Corps, specializing in teaching, training, and advising military members of all ranks. As a senior enlisted leader, Dr. Brown has led, trained, and advised hundreds of service members in varying environments. While serving, he taught various topics, from general military subjects to more specific combat-related skills. He has deployed numerous times to many countries in support of military missions and needs.
While on active duty, he served as a Unit Security Manager of classified equipment and materials, Advanced Aviation Electronics Technician, Formal school instructor, Drill instructor, Marine Corps Recruit Battalion Company First Sergeant, Acting Combat Assault Battalion and Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion Sergeant Major, Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Trainer, and Light Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle Commander and more.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts degree in Business with an emphasis in Organizational Security Management from Webster University. Dr. Brown received his Doctorate from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Business Administration/Management in 2019. In 2022, Dr. Brown started Monachopsis Management Strategies (MMS), a business-to-business consulting company that supports other companies in creating an authentically inclusive work environment. Dr. Brown has spoken at several professional conferences nationwide enlightening audiences about his research.
