Dr. Rainya P. Miller
My Story
Dr. Rainya P. Miller, NBCT is the Managing Partner of Lead Develop Engage, bringing 25 years of experience in education and a varied spectrum of knowledge to her role. Dr. Miller formerly worked as team leader in the United States Navy, demonstrating her strong leadership abilities and dedication to teamwork.
Dr. Miller has been a qualified Gallup Strengths Coach and an Engagement Coach throughout
her educational career. She has obtained specific training in Positive Intelligence Coaching (PQ)
and Jim Knight's Instructional Coaching, making her a well-rounded and competent coach for
individuals, entrepreneurs, small businessowners, and university partners. Dr. Miller is deeply
committed to fairness, diversity, and inclusion, and she is certified in these areas as well as in
Restorative Practices.
Dr. Miller's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on
Early Childhood Education, a Master of Science in Teacher Leadership, and a Doctor of
Education in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Community and Organizational
Leadership. Throughout her educational career in Prince George's County, she has held positions such as Head Start Educator, Preschool Educator, Kindergarten Educator, and First Grade Educator. She has also worked as the PGCPS Continuing Professional Development Liaison to MSDE, Non-PDS Coordinator, and National Board-Certified Teacher Program Instructional
Coordinator.
Dr. Miller's leadership extends beyond the classroom, as she has served as a PGCEA Board of
Director Member at Large, Professional Development and Leadership Committee Co-Chair,
MSEA Leadership and Development Committee Member, MSEA Strategic Planning Committee
Member, and PGCEA Endorsement team member. She currently serves as the Co-Chair for the
Maryland Blueprint Advisory Implementation Board Advisory Committee for Pillar 1 (Early
Childhood). Driven by her enthusiasm for education reform, she has actively lobbied in
Annapolis and marched for education, calling for good change in the education sector.
Dr. Miller is committed to delivering professional development, training, workshops, and
customized presentations to assist others in achieving their personal and professional goals and
build a more inclusive and equitable society. Her diverse background in the military, coaching
credentials, and educational leadership makes her an invaluable member of the Maryland Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors.
